Final pathology report

Pathology report on Sterling's tumor from Johns Hopkins is that the tumor looks more like a PXA grade 2 (what St. Louis said) than a DIG grade 1 (what Children's said). It actually has characteristics of both types and has been very difficult for them to formally diagnose. Because it's not purely one or the other they cannot forecast what the tumor will do, how it will change/behave, etc. Still a benign tumor either way, and the treatment plan is to continue on course of managing the seizures and wait for another MRI in March.
We're glad to know a formal diagnosis. I'm choosing to see the agreement from the doctors that Sterling's tumor is very unusual and in a very unusual place (not typically seen in the middle of the brain) as a perfect platform for God to show off. Join us in continuing to pray for the remaining tumor to shrink!
